On July 30, 2022, the Fashion Creation 2022 program of Fashion Design students, Hoa Sen University (HSU) brought eye-catching performances with 21 collections (BST) from 21 young designers of HSU.

Fashion Creation is one of the biggest events of the year for Hoa Sen students, invested with a monumental investment, exclusively for students of Fashion Design major, under the Faculty of Design – Art of HSU. Through each season of Fashion Creation, the students leave behind creative collections, which are highly appreciated by professionals. This is also considered an important milestone in the career of young HSU designers, initially creating their own brand and affirming their strength in the fashion industry in Vietnam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At Fashion Creation, students will present their graduation reports to a panel of experts. In addition to the dress samples, they must prepare a graduation project file including 3 types of records. Design Profile with clear expression of ideas; creative inspiration with clear directions on trends, stories as well as shapes and colors of the collection; fabric samples, material surface creation techniques; sketch template. Technical dossiers include technical drawings of each garment model in the entire Collection; sample development, technical description of each garment, drafts made on real fabric. The branding profile includes the plan and strategy to develop their personal brand based on the collection they are designing. Besides, the students also introduced shooting images or shooting videos of the designs used in the marketing-communication plan to the public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the Graduation Project presentation, Fashion Design students have the opportunity to demonstrate the comprehensive knowledge and skills of a fashion designer. The students not only designed the costumes but also built a complete professional collection from ideation, to a methodical production process and finally to building a communication-marketing strategy for their fashion brand.

The jury is the leading fashion industry experts such as: Mr. Lam Gia Khang- Founder, Designer of Gia Studio; Ms. Nguyen Quynh Nhu (Quynh Paris) \u2013 Founder, Brand Designer of QUYNH PARIS; Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Truc- Head of Brand Design Department THE31; Ms. Tran Nguyen Thien Huong \u2013 Editor-in-Chief of Harper’s Bazaar Vietnam Magazine; Mr. Cheng Chou Phukan \u2013 Director of Design & Visual Merchandising Kim Mode Paint Company; Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Trang \u2013 Fashion Editor – Elle Magazine; Ms. Vo Ngoc Thuy Anh (Anna Vo) – Creative Director of PNJ\/Founder – Brand designer ANNA VO; Mr. Tran Hung – Founder, Brand Designer TRAN HUNG; Ms. Eun Mi Yang – Head of Garment Technical Design Department, Nobland International Company; Ms. Trinh Ha Anh – Co-founder, Head of SAND Brand Sales Department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The judges carefully review the Student Design Profiles<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

After reports and comments from experts, the collections will be presented as a professional fashion show at Majestic Hotel \u2013 one of the most famous 5-star hotels in Ho Chi Minh City. This year, there are 21 collections with more than 60 outfits from 21 young designers on display. With unique ideas from many different topics such as: Real life idyllic, characters, classic movies, nature, ocean, science fiction… The designs impressed the experts and the audience at the Fashion Creation night. In particular, the beauty of women through the ages, feminism is still a familiar topic expressed through the collections of young designers. However, with a new and creative perspective, these designs still bring fresh colors, alternating between modern and traditional features of Vietnamese women. Specially, 6 costumes of HSU students participating in the Miss Universe 2022 “National Costume Design Selection” Contest will also be performed at the Fashion show night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To prepare a presentation to defend the project, students must carefully prepare from the designs to the profile, marketing and communication plans for their collection. <\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Fashion Creation, with its more than 10 years of branding journey in Vietnam, has always introduced to the fashion public future fashion designers from Hoa Sen University. With creative thinking and unique personal identity, the show is the place to bring the students’ designs closer to the public, which opens up many opportunities, turning points in the career journey of young fashion designers.
