This event signifies a significant milestone, not only in acknowledging research accomplishments but also as a testament to the dedication and ongoing efforts of students in their learning journey. The Guardian Council was graced with the presence of Associate Professor Dr. Pham Thi Huong, Dean of the Faculty of International Languages and Cultures, along with PhD. Huynh Van Tai, the MAE program director, PhD. Nguyen Chi Duy Khuong, Deputy Director of the Institute of International Training, and PhD. Tran Kieu My An, as well as PhD. Bui Phu Hung, all esteemed lecturers from prestigious universities in Ho Chi Minh City.

“After a period of dedicated effort in enriching their knowledge and accumulating practical experience, the MAE students have succeeded in defending their topics before the Council. Their dedication and creativity have been highly appreciated by the Council, and the professors have provided constructive feedback to help students refine their theses. Particularly noteworthy is the Council’s recognition that the defended topics hold practical value and high potential for application in the students’ respective fields of expertise.”

With the highest score, Lai Chi Nguyen (MAE Batch 5 student) shared: “I feel relieved after successfully completing my thesis, surpassing expectations thanks to the dedicated guidance from the professors throughout my Master’s studies, as well as the detailed contributions provided during the Council session. What impresses me the most is the enthusiasm of the professors, which has left me with memorable experiences and a deep sense of satisfaction with the teaching program here. Furthermore, I believe that I have received the best knowledge transmission as I had hoped for when enrolling in the Master’s program at Hoa Sen University.”

Additionally, the students expressed their gratitude towards the professors for their thoughtful feedback and for pinpointing areas for improvement so that they could refine their theses to the best of their abilities. Despite thorough preparation for their theses, the students still felt anxious prior to the Council session. However, thanks to the experienced professors with extensive teaching and knowledge transmission skills, the students were able to broaden their perspectives and receive constructive criticism to help them fine-tune their theses effectively.

The Master’s in English Language program at Hoa Sen University has seen its students begin to produce noteworthy research published in reputable scientific journals both domestically and internationally. They have also had opportunities to engage with and learn from previous generations, enriching their own research knowledge and skills. This contributes to affirming the success and credibility of the Master’s in English Language program at Hoa Sen University.

Mr. Huynh Kim Tuoc, currently serving as CEO of UL VS Vietnam Co., Ltd. and Vice Chairman of the Digital Economy and Technology Subcommittee of the American Chamber of Commerce, imparted his wisdom to graduate students during the Opening Ceremony of Hoa Sen University’s Master’s program on December 10, 2022. As the former Director of Google and Facebook in Vietnam, Mr. Tuoc shared valuable insights with the students at Masters’ programs.

Mr. Huynh Kim Tuoc, presently serving as CEO of UL VS Vietnam Co., Ltd. and Vice Chairman of the Digital Economy and Technology Subcommittee of the American Chamber of Commerce, candidly addressed the graduate community at Hoa Sen University. Emphasizing the importance of preparedness, he stressed that leaders must always be poised to navigate businesses through times of crisis. Drawing from his extensive experience as the former Director of Google and Facebook in Vietnam, Mr. Tuoc shared authentic anecdotes from his tenure overseeing international business operations amidst the Vietnamese economic landscape. Continuing Hoa Sen University’s tradition of “real learning by doing,” graduate students have actively questioned the applicability of their knowledge from the master’s program in finding solutions to aid multinational corporations in Vietnam to recover and thrive once more. Mr. Kim Tuoc emphasized the importance of critical thinking and problem-solving, stating, “We must always respond to a question with another question to effectively address the issue. Based on my personal experience, the master’s program equips us with the ability to think systematically and analyze situations using specific data and information.” Furthermore, he commented on the forthcoming development trends of multinational enterprises, highlighting key factors such as environmental sustainability, regeneration, and localization as pivotal areas of focus in the years ahead.

On the afternoon of December 10, 2022, the Institute of Graduate Studies & Leadership joyously hosted an Opening Ceremony to warmly welcome new students enrolled in the Master of Business Administration, English Language Studies, and Tourism and travel service management. Representing the School, MSc. Nguyen Hai Ninh, Vice Rector of Hoa Sen University, pledged to furnish the incoming students with a high-quality, globally competitive learning environment centered around four pillars: education, research, practical application, and networking. Extending a heartfelt welcome to the new members of the Hoa Sen family, MSc. Nguyen Hai Ninh expressed, “I firmly believe that students have been meticulously prepared and are poised to successfully complete the training program with commendable results and adherence to the schedule. With our ethos of open education, I am confident that upon completion of the course, students will emerge as the best versions of themselves, poised to surpass boundaries, overcome challenges, and assert their inherent value.”

Many alumni have attained notable achievements and assumed leadership positions in management and business ownership roles.
