Master Luong Dinh Yen Khanh, having attained a master’s degree in Business Administration from Hoa Sen University, found himself at such a crossroad. In 2023, Master Yen Khanh resolved to embark on the path of academia, driven by a passion for teaching, nurturing talent, and aspiring to scale new scholarly heights through doctoral pursuits.
Driven by a fervent desire to immerse herself in an international academic milieu, MSc. Yen Khanh embraced a formidable challenge by enrolling in the PhD program in International Management at National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan. Renowned as Taiwan’s premier institution of higher learning, ranked among the Top 30 in Asia according to QS Ranking and within the Top 24 globally in Impact Ranking by Times Higher Education, this esteemed university embodies excellence in academia. Reflecting on the arduous journey from application preparation to receiving the coveted admission notice, Ms. Khanh takes great pride in her diligent efforts.
Furthermore, Ms. Yen Khanh stands as a recipient of the prestigious NCKU Distinguished Students scholarship, which offers full financial coverage for outstanding candidates alongside a living allowance. Sharing insights into her experience with the application process for the International Doctorate program, Ms. Khanh emphasizes the significance of documents such as the Autobiography and Study Plan. The Autobiography serves as a platform to delineate one’s personal journey, strengths, weaknesses, and the wealth of experiences garnered throughout the MBA trajectory and professional endeavors. Conversely, the Study Plan meticulously outlines forthcoming academic pursuits, research orientations, rationale behind the choice of institution, and the candidate’s value proposition. Ms. Khanh expresses gratitude for the privilege of being awarded the scholarship, underscoring the element of serendipity in her journey.
Ms. Yen Khanh also holds the distinction of being among the pioneer cohort of the MBA program at Hoa Sen University. Reflecting on this transformative journey, Ms. Khanh reminisces fondly: “The pinnacle of my master’s thesis lies in its alignment with the dynamic trends of the contemporary labor market. Delving into the intricacies of work motivation disparities between Gen Y and Gen Z, a topical subject within the realm of human resources, proved immensely rewarding.
