1. Specialization and Admission Conditions

1.1. Specializations

1.1.1. Master of Business Administration (MBA)

1.1.2. Master of English Language

– Master of English Language: 02 specializations:

  • Interpretation and Translation
  • Teaching English

– Expected Enrollment Quota: 40

– Duration of Program: 2.0 years. Maximum study duration: 4 years.

1.1.3. Tourism and Travel Service Management (anticipated)

– Expected Enrollment Quota: 30

– Duration of Program: 1.5 years. Maximum study duration: 3.5 years.

1.2. Admission Requirements

1.2.1. Master of Business Administration (MBA)

Regarding qualifications: Applicants must meet one of the following conditions (a or b):

a) Hold a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.

b) Hold a bachelor’s degree in related fields recognized by the Ministry of Education and Training (MoET), and have completed additional prerequisite courses (see appendix) before the deadline specified by the university.

Regarding work experience:

– Candidates must have at least one year of work experience in a relevant professional field corresponding to the registered field of study for candidates graduating from closely related majors, or three years of continuous work experience in the tourism field for candidates graduating from other majors (counted from the date of signing the Decision to recognize the Bachelor’s degree until the exam date), and have undertaken additional studies to achieve an equivalent level to a Bachelor’s degree in Tourism and Travel Service Management. If the duration of work experience is less than specified, the Admission Council will consider the type of Bachelor’s degree for decision-making.

1.2.4. Other Requirements: Applicable to both majors

  • Have a clear personal background, not under disciplinary probation or higher sanctions during the examination period, and not under criminal sentence execution, confirmed by the human resources management agency at the current workplace or the local authorities where the candidate resides.
  • Have sufficient health for study; for children of war veterans affected by chemical toxins according to the regulations of the Master’s training regulations, the school principal will consider and decide on admission to the entrance exam based on the health condition and requirements of the field of study.
  • Submit a complete application dossier within the prescribed deadline of the university.

Note: (1) In case the candidate holds a foreign university degree, the diploma must be recognized by the Ministry of Education and Training as per regulations.

2. Application Documents, Fees, and Timeline

2.1. The application dossier includes:

a) Application form for admission (according to the provided template);

b) Copy(*) of the university diploma or provisional graduation certificate; Confirmation of equivalence issued by the Quality Management Department for cases where the university diploma is issued by a foreign educational institution;

c) Copy(*) of academic transcripts at the university level indicating the names of subjects, class hours, and grades for each subject; In cases where candidates seek exemption or reduction of subjects for additional knowledge, candidates must submit outlines of the subjects studied;

d) Confirmation of work experience (for candidates applying for Business Administration, Tourism and Travel Services Management);

e) Personal resume with attached photo, confirmed and stamped by the human resources management agency at the current workplace or the local authorities where the candidate resides;

f) Copy(*) of supplementary knowledge transcripts for candidates with requests for additional study;

g) Copy(*) of exemption certificates for Foreign Language subjects, if applicable;

h) Priority object identification documents, if applicable;

i) 3 portrait photos (3×4 size) taken within the last 6 months from the application submission date (with name and date of birth written on the back, enclosed in an envelope);

j) Copy(*) of birth certificate; candidates may submit additional copies upon admission and enrollment registration.

Note: (*) Candidates must bring the original documents for verification or submit certified copies.

2.2. Application fee: 1,000,000 VND per application dossier.

2.3. Timeline:

  • Application submission period: from the announcement date until April 29, 2021.
  • Examination dates: May 15, 2021, and May 16, 2021.
  • Announcement of exam results and list of successful candidates: May 25, 2021 (estimated).

3.2. Foreign Language Exemption Conditions

3.2.1. For Business Administration Major

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree or higher obtained through full-time study abroad (taught in English), recognized by the competent authority (Quality Management Department of the Ministry of Education and Training) according to current regulations;
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree from an advanced program under the Project of the Ministry of Education and Training on training advanced programs at some universities in Vietnam, or hold a high-quality engineer degree (PFIEV) recognized by the Engineer Qualification Committee (CTI, France) with the same-level partner abroad (taught in English);
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in English Language or its equivalent;
  • Possess one of the following English language proficiency certificates (2) with the minimum required scores:

3.2.2. For English Language Major

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree or higher obtained through full-time study abroad under a French language program, recognized by the competent authority (Quality Management Department of the Ministry of Education and Training) according to current regulations;
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree from an advanced program under the Project of the Ministry of Education and Training on training advanced programs at some universities in Vietnam, or hold a high-quality engineer degree (PFIEV) recognized by the Engineer Qualification Committee (CTI, France) with the same-level partner abroad (taught in French);
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in French/Chinese/Japanese/Korean Language;
  • Possess one of the following language proficiency certificates (2) with the minimum required scores (equivalent to A2 level – European Framework):

(2) Note:

  • For certificates exempting from exams with specified expiration dates, the certificates must be valid until the exam registration date.
  • For candidates with other foreign language certificates achieving an equivalent A2 level (European Framework), candidates need to submit a copy of the certificate for the Admission Council’s consideration and decision.

4. Priority Subjects and Priority Points

4.1. Priority Subjects

a) Individuals with continuous work experience of 2 years or more (counted until the deadline for submitting application documents) in areas designated as Zone 1 in the current regulations on university admissions. In this case, candidates must have a decision on employment acceptance or mobilization, detachment by the authorized agency;

b) War invalids, policy beneficiaries such as war invalids;

c) Children of martyrs;

d) Heroes of armed forces, labor heroes;

e) Ethnic minorities with permanent residency for 2 years or more in areas specified in Point a of this section;

f) Children of war activists infected with toxic chemicals, recognized by the provincial People’s Committee as having deformities, disabilities, or reduced self-reliance in daily activities, studies due to the consequences of toxic chemicals.

4.2. Priority Points

  • Candidates in priority subjects are awarded an additional ten points (on a scale of 100) for the Foreign Language subject if not exempt from examination and one point (on a scale of 10) for the Basic Subject of the field.
  • Candidates belonging to multiple priority subjects are entitled to priority points only once.

5. Admission Conditions, Selection Criteria

  • Candidates in the admission consideration category must achieve 50% of the total score for each test, examination (after adding priority points, if any).
  • Based on the announced quotas for each field, specialized field of training and the total score of the two tests, examinations of each candidate (excluding the foreign language subject), the Admissions Council determines the admission criteria.
  • In cases where multiple candidates have the same total score of the two tests mentioned above (after adding priority points, if any), the following priority order is determined:

i. Female candidates prioritized as stipulated in Article 4, Article 16 of Decree No. 48/2009/ND-CP dated May 19, 2009, on measures to ensure gender equality;

ii. Candidates with higher scores in the key subject of the specialized field;

iii. Candidates exempted from the foreign language subject or those with higher scores in the foreign language subject.
