1. Enrollment candidate:
Applicants must meet the following prerequisites to be considered for admission to the finance and banking program at Hoa Sen University:
- Graduated from an educational institution recognized by the Ministry of Education and Training majoring in business administration, logistics, public economic management, marketing management, or other fields related to economics.
- Have a clear background.
- Healthy enough to participate in the study.
- Submit all necessary documents on time and completely according to the school’s instructions.
2. The curriculum duration: 18 months

5. Learning Outcomes:
Students who complete the Master of Arts in Finance and Banking degree at Hoa Sen University acquire the following competencies:
Knowledge:
- Students will gain proficiency in various facets of Finance, including but not limited to investment, financing, business valuation, portfolio management, risk management, corporate governance, banking management, and project management. This breadth of knowledge empowers individuals to identify emerging financial challenges within enterprises, and subsequently employ scientific and creative methodologies to analyze and evaluate these challenges. Such insights enable informed decision-making pertaining to governance, management, and operational strategies within businesses.
- Students will acquire a mastery of principles, tools, and practices essential for analysis, investment, valuation, risk management, and forecasting. This expertise equips them to innovate and demonstrate creativity in decision-making processes across business and investment domains, as well as in policy planning and financial strategy formulation within banks, corporations, and enterprises of varied economic contexts.
Skills
- The program also emphasizes the modeling, systematic understanding, practical application, research, and ongoing development of knowledge relevant to the Finance industry. This holistic approach enables participants to adeptly apply their acquired knowledge in dynamic scenarios, exhibiting flexibility and creativity in devising and executing policies, strategies, and solutions to complex financial challenges.
- Students will cultivate essential skills to function effectively both autonomously and collaboratively. They will develop the ability to think independently and creatively, collaborate within teams, pose pertinent questions, analyze complex issues, and draw well-founded conclusions to advance their professional endeavors. Additionally, the program hones communication proficiency, work agility, and management and leadership capabilities, ensuring graduates are well-equipped to navigate and excel in diverse professional environments within the Finance sector.
Level of Autonomy and responsibility:
- Students will attain a comprehensive grasp of ethical principles, professional standards, and regulatory frameworks governing financial activities and investment domains. The program is designed to instill a commitment to serving and advancing community interests through adherence to these principles and standards.
- Students will cultivate the motivation and capacity for self-directed learning to continually augment their knowledge and expertise, thereby enhancing their professional qualifications. They will develop the resilience and adaptability necessary to navigate competitive landscapes and socio-economic shifts effectively, proactively directing their own professional development amidst evolving contexts.
6. Training process, requirement for graduation
Training in accordance with the Postgraduate Education Regulation 2075/QD-ĐHHS, which the President of Hoa Sen University signed on October 12, 2021.
Graduates with an MFB from Hoa Sen University must fulfill the following criteria:
- Completion of the training program and a training program GPA of 5,5 or above overall (out of a possible 10).
- Submit the thesis after signing confirmation from the instructor.
- There are remarks from independent reviewers.
- In accordance with the regulations on master training issued by the Ministry of Education and Training, the committee’s chairman and supervisor certify that the thesis has been edited in accordance with the committee’s conclusion and enclose a copy of the conclusion of the thesis review committee and the reviewers’ comments for training institutions to use as reference materials at libraries and archives.
- The Board considers a Thesis score of 5,5 or higher to be satisfactory.
- Have a Business Report grade of at least 5,5.
- Publicize the full text of the thesis on the University’s website;
- A minimum of 4 out of 6 on the 6-level foreign language competency framework for Vietnam, or an equivalent level, is required to meet the foreign language standards (Appendix I of Regulation 2075/QD-ĐHHS).
