“Congratulations to the MAE students who successfully defended their master’s theses before the council on May 7, 2024.”
On May 7, 2024, the Institute of Graduate Studies & Leadership organized a Council for defending the Master’s Thesis in English Language (MAE) at Hoa Sen University. This event signifies a significant milestone, not only in acknowledging research accomplishments but also as a testament to the dedication and ongoing efforts of students in their learning journey. The Guardian Council was graced with the presence of Associate Professor Dr. Pham Thi Huong, Dean of the Faculty of International Languages and Cultures, along with PhD. Huynh Van Tai, the MAE program director, PhD. Nguyen Chi Duy Khuong, Deputy Director of the Institute of International Training, and PhD. Tran Kieu My An, as well as PhD. Bui Phu Hung, all esteemed lecturers from prestigious universities in Ho Chi Minh City.
“After a period of dedicated effort in enriching their knowledge and accumulating practical experience, the MAE students have succeeded in defending their topics before the Council. Their dedication and creativity have been highly appreciated by the Council, and the professors have provided constructive feedback to help students refine their theses. Particularly noteworthy is the Council’s recognition that the defended topics hold practical value and high potential for application in the students’ respective fields of expertise.”
With the highest score, Lai Chi Nguyen (MAE Batch 5 student) shared: “I feel relieved after successfully completing my thesis, surpassing expectations thanks to the dedicated guidance from the professors throughout my Master’s studies, as well as the detailed contributions provided during the Council session. What impresses me the most is the enthusiasm of the professors, which has left me with memorable experiences and a deep sense of satisfaction with the teaching program here. Furthermore, I believe that I have received the best knowledge transmission as I had hoped for when enrolling in the Master’s program at Hoa Sen University.”
Additionally, the students expressed their gratitude towards the professors for their thoughtful feedback and for pinpointing areas for improvement so that they could refine their theses to the best of their abilities. Despite thorough preparation for their theses, the students still felt anxious prior to the Council session. However, thanks to the experienced professors with extensive teaching and knowledge transmission skills, the students were able to broaden their perspectives and receive constructive criticism to help them fine-tune their theses effectively.
The Master’s in English Language program at Hoa Sen University has seen its students begin to produce noteworthy research published in reputable scientific journals both domestically and internationally. They have also had opportunities to engage with and learn from previous generations, enriching their own research knowledge and skills. This contributes to affirming the success and credibility of the Master’s in English Language program at Hoa Sen University.
