As one of the most important modules in Hoa Sen University’s Bachelor of Marketing program, the Thesis Defense and Graduation Internship Ceremony for Semester 19.2A once again took place on July 15, 2020. at the School’s Quang Trung 1 Campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This Graduation Internship and Thesis Defense Ceremony concludes the continuous efforts of 48 “future graduates” in Marketing. To be able to stand in front of the Graduation Council and present their thesis, these students went through a practical work process lasting nearly 4 months at businesses with different characteristics of the Marketing industry. : providing marketing services (agency), research, creative production, marketing departments of businesses, etc. The internship process at this enterprise requires Marketing students to quickly integrate into the work cycle of each company, apply the knowledge they have learned into practice, and finally observe and learn. to contribute detailed solutions to a business problem. Accompanying students on this journey, the Marketing Department always ensures that each student has a instructor with many years of experience working in the business, in addition to in-depth professional knowledge of the Industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A huge challenge that “future new graduates” face in this Graduation Internship is that semester 19.2A coincides with the strongest outbreak of the Sars-Covid 2 epidemic with strict requirements related to regarding social distancing from the Government. This means that students need to complete the assigned work even though they cannot continuously be present at the business. Besides, the exchange between students and their instructors also needs to be flexibly carried out through online platforms: email, video conference and especially the completely online learning system mLearning. new from Hoa Sen University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When asked about the difficulties of participating in the Graduation Internship during the period of social distancing, student Nguyen Trong Thuc – who successfully entered the Top 10 Young Marketers Competition season 8 organized by Brands Vietnam and Advertising Vietnam said that the social distancing requirement due to the Covid epidemic this time cannot make it difficult for teachers and students. Thuc and his supervisor – Dr. Doan Minh Chau – discussed regularly about internships and graduation topics through email and live online discussions. Moreover, with his passion for building a brand, when in reality experiencing the difficulties that all businesses are facing due to the epidemic, Thuc quickly seized the opportunity and determined the perfect career direction. completely new for me: building a personal brand for customers. Thuc believes that with this particular career choice, she will be able to help businesses and business owners always be ready to cope with unexpected crises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thuc also shared that the company I interned with this time recruited me as an official employee before the internship period even ended. Thuc caught the employer’s “eye” after she participated in organizing one of the events and competitions hosted by Marketing teachers and students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Like Thuc, the Marketing students participating in the Graduation Internship defense this time all entered the Defense session in a nervous but confident mood. With the practical work experience gained this time, the students standing before the Graduation Council today are completely different people than they were a few months ago: ready for the journey of a Marketer.
