On the afternoon of November 16, 2023, Hoa Sen University was honored to welcome and work with the Working Group of the Department of Industry and Trade of Ho Chi Minh City on building the Project “Increasing investment in developing Logistics infrastructure, increasing loading capacity”. seaport unloading and storage, staying ahead of supply chains; Forming a regional logistics service supply center”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the meeting, the delegation informed about the Government’s policy on increasing investment in logistics infrastructure development, increasing loading and unloading capacity and seaport storage as well as orientations for developing logistics service centers. regional scale in Ho Chi Minh City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Joining the discussion, MSc. Tran Phong – HSU lecturer shared about “Factors affecting the competitive advantage of small & medium-sized Logistics enterprises” and the topic “Domestic barge operations”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to data from the Import-Export Department, as of 2021, the country has more than 43,000 Logistics service enterprises. Among them, 89% are small and medium-sized Vietnamese enterprises, 10% are joint venture enterprises and 1% are 100% foreign-owned enterprises. Vietnam is ranked 11th in the group of 50 global emerging logistics markets. Mr. Tran Phong analyzed the limitations and proposed solutions for Logistics businesses such as: Solid legal system for the Logistics industry; Improve operational capacity; Choose appropriate technology; Regarding human resources, it is necessary to link with universities and colleges\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The working session took place in an open atmosphere, provoking many ideas and suggestions for direction to complete the Project. The sharing session also brought a lot of useful information to help lecturers have more materials to serve scientific research and teaching activities. At the same time, it once again affirms the enormous potential and job opportunities in the field of Logistics and International Trade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
