The Service-learning course ” Gender and Economic Development” is designed for the first time for economics students and will be included in HSU’s formal training system starting from Semester 20.2A

The course focuses on development economics with a gender lens. Participating in the course, students will have the opportunity to learn and discuss theories of development economics, and the role of gender in economic development. The course will also enhance students’ knowledge of social policy, and development cooperation.
The course is built to help students develop skills in applying specialized knowledge (Economics, Management, Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Tourism…) to real situations at social enterprises to help the community.
The course helps students develop a spirit for the community, thereby maturing themselves, respecting differences in the community, team spirit, and increasing connection to life. Information recording skills, leadership and team management capabilities.
