· Manage sea transport activities at Rhenus Vietnam

· Ensure that Operations departments carry out their tasks according to the set SOP and KPI

· Maintain regular contact/link with the Regional Ocean Freight Product Team.

· Communicate issues/change requests related to Transportation Management System (TMS) periodically for discussion with Regional Product Team

· Conduct regular meetings with the Operations Department to help the team track any market updates/developments, discuss operational issues, reports related to data quality, etc.

· Ensure data quality reports are reviewed and KPIs are met

· Create work and volume reports to track costs, sales, gross profit and work-related KPIs, evaluate volume developments, department resources, subcontractors and develop New ideas to maximize operations and profits

· Participate in general sales calls for new customers as well as performance meetings

· Meet/liaise with subcontractors (airlines/main loaders/truckers, brokers, core carriers, co-loaders) to create and maintain good relationships as well like escalating and resolving performance issues

· Ensure to conduct regular case studies and root cause analysis for preventative action

· Communicate goals, direction and regularly motivate team members to support their continued development and growth within the company

· Ensure that customer commitments are maintained while strategic planning for company growth is promoted

· Check and sign documents before finishing work

Final review and signature of all payables and receivables upon submission

Ensure that all required documents are collected while job records are duly signed/cross-checked

· Manage complex unresolved issues reported by Operations Supervisor

· Other tasks as assigned by superiors/General Director

JOB REQUIREMENTS

·       Degree in Logistics/Transportation Management/Supply Chain or equivalent

·       Minimum 5 years of experience in a management position in a similar field

·       Extensive knowledge of customs policies and domestic and international freight services

·       Ability to solve problems effectively

·       Familiar with industry standard programs and able to operate standard systems appropriate to position

·       Good contacts with major ports, carriers and freight/transportation service providers

·       Good verbal and written communication skills in English

·       Highly motivated and able to work independently

·       Customer-centric thinking, sales experience is an advantage

·       Experience in handling special shipments: refrigerated cargo, DG, contract/project logistics, etc. is an advantage

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Update shipping schedules of shipping companies
  • Update the list and information of shipping companies.
  • Check prices and Sales requirements with shipping lines, follow up on requests to get early answers from agents.
  • Get booking from shipping company and coloader.
  • Explain/clarify the price provided to sales to avoid errors.
  • Report special cases/trouble
  • Check bill of lading information with sales agents and customers
  • Support sales staff in case of problems with the shipment being handled
  • Carry out work related to documents for import and export shipments
  • Coordinate with accounting department to complete shipments

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Level: Intermediate / College / University
  • Experience: Have working experience of 6 months or more in a similar position.
  • Knowledge: Know about the field of logistics for exports to the US.
  • Skills: Good communication skills in English or Chinese.
  • Abilities: Good teamwork ability.
