Workshop “Nobel Prize in economics and empirical research methods in business”
The Faculty of Economics – Business and the Faculty lecturers organized a Workshop with the topic “Nobel Prize in Economics and empirical research methods in business” to create an environment to share and exchange valuable experiences in scientific research, thereby inspiring the students to be able to self-train, foster and improve their individual research capacity.
The seminar was in the spirit of sharing and exchanging about the 2021 Nobel Prize in Economics as well as introducing experimental methods in scientific research, thereby helping students of the Faculty of Economics and Business to better understand how to apply scientific research in practice and grasp the methods of empirical research in enterprises.
The conference consisted of two main topics:
Content 1: Approach from a scientist’s perspective
- About the Nobel Prize in Economics 2021
- Empirical research won the Nobel Prize in economics in 2021
- An overview of experimental research methods
- Empirical research applications in business and marketing activities of enterprises
- Conclusion and potential assessment from the Nobel theory of economics and experimental methods in the future in Vietnam.
Content 2: Approach from a business perspective
- Enterprise evaluation of the experimental method of the Nobel Prize in economics.
- Areas where empirical methods can be applied in enterprises.
- Advantages and disadvantages when deploying and applying empirical research methods in enterprises.
- The combination of schools and enterprises in the implementation of experimental methods.
- Conclusion and evaluation of the potential of the empirical method in research problems in the enterprise.
