HSU signed an MoU with De Montfort University, marking a strategic cooperation relationship with the prestigious British school that is more than 150 years old.

On February 8, 2022, Hoa Sen University (HSU, Vietnam) and De Montfort University (DMU, UK) held a signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on training cooperation between the two schools. This is an important event marking a strategic, long-term cooperation relationship between a leading private university in Vietnam and a famous university in the UK that is more than 150 years old.
The MoU signing ceremony was solemnly held with the participation of Associate Professor, Dr. Vo Thi Ngoc Thuy – Principal of Hoa Sen University along with members of the Board of Directors and leaders of units. De Montfort University had the presence of Mr. Simon Bradbury – Vice Principal and leaders of the faculties. The ceremony was also attended by a representative of the British Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City, Ms. Ho Thi Kim Phuong – Commercial Manager (Education).
Representatives of HSU and DMU, Associate Professor, Dr. Vo Thi Ngoc Thuy – Principal and Mr. Simon Bradbury – Vice Principal completed the MoU signing on strategic cooperation between the two schools.
After a process of exchange and negotiation, up to now, the two schools have agreed on a training cooperation model in the field of higher education. Specifically, Vietnamese students will study De Montfort University’s Bachelor and Master’s programs at Hoa Sen University. After completing the program, students will receive a diploma issued by De Montfort University.
Thus, Vietnamese students will have the opportunity to access world-class high quality education from the UK right in Vietnam without having to spend as much money as the traditional way of studying abroad.
Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor, Dr. Vo Thi Ngoc Thuy – Principal of Hoa Sen University said that the current context of globalization and interdependence brings not only opportunities but also unpredictable challenges. Therefore, cooperation and working together among universities around the world has become an inevitable trend, no longer a mere choice.
Associate Professor, Dr. Vo Thi Ngoc Thuy believes that the MoU signing event between Hoa Sen University and De Montfort University will create a solid foundation for the cooperative relationship in the field of higher education between the two countries. From there, many high-quality British training programs will be provided to Vietnamese students through Hoa Sen University’s excellent teaching staff in the near future.
The two sides expressed their honor and respect for cooperation to promote better learning opportunities and experiences for Vietnamese students.
Vice Principal Simon Bradbury said that De Montfort University is in the top 200 young universities in the Time Higher Education World University Ranking and is in the top 25 best universities in England. De Montfort University focuses on training and equipping students with the necessary skills for their careers immediately after graduation, while providing high-quality human resources for society.
“Today’s MoU signing event is a clear demonstration of the strategic cooperation relationship between the two universities, thereby providing many better learning opportunities for Vietnamese students,” Mr. Simon Bradbury shared.
During the ceremony, leaders of faculties from the two universities also expressed their joy about this cooperative relationship and pledged to coordinate both sides in professional fields to bring the highest quality of training to students.
