On January 17, 2022, Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of Morocco in City. HCM – MSc. Doan Huu Duc and Deputy General Director of Vietnam Consulting Company (VCG) – MSc. Nguyen Xuan Dung had a visit and worked at HSU. Receiving the delegation was attended by school representatives: Associate Professor, PhD. Vo Thi Ngoc Thuy – Principal; Dr. Phan Thi Vietnam – Deputy Principal; MSc. Architect. Tu Phu Duc – Dean of the Faculty of Design and Art and representatives of the Department of Scientific Management – International Cooperation; Department of International Languages and Cultures.
Supporting HSU’s orientation with the goal of becoming a university of international standards, the new Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of Morocco, Mr. Doan Huu Duc, currently a member of the scientific council of Hoa Sen University, proposed that the HSU Board of Directors The school supports students to improve foreign language communication skills and apply digital technology. The two sides exchanged cooperation possibilities to create conditions for HSU students and lecturers to interact with consulates operating in Ho Chi Minh City and the foreign business community through the International Chamber of Commerce… Along with cultivating communication skills, there are opportunities to develop life skills for students through social activities, community development in provinces and international connections.

Specifically, to gradually implement the above proposals, VCG and its member businesses will introduce and connect HSU with many opportunities to develop projects related to cultural and artistic preservation and restoration projects. community services such as UNICEF’s Child Friendly Cities initiative, providing connections and opportunities to develop networks with organizations AmCham, EuroCham, BritCham, AusCham…, especially through the Kingdom of Morocco’s outreach Learn about the culture, education and economy of the Arab bloc consisting of 22 countries with a community of more than 1.4 billion Muslims around the world. Help students find startup projects and outline practical activities to create a playground for students to experience. Furthermore, with the trend of internationalizing the training environment to orient students to become global citizens, HSU needs to improve its foreign language learning programs and methods on a digital platform from basic to majors, especially English as a Second Language (ESL) and EMI (English as Medium of Instruction). “As training units, we can improve every day and provide students with the most effective means and forms of self-training in English on software with information technology applications, according to VCG. will introduce HSU to international sponsored projects that support improving digital skills for human resources, and learning foreign languages on modern digital platforms”, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Dung shared.
Representative of the Consular organization, Mr. Doan Huu Duc also said that on December 15, 2021, the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam coordinated with the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation. Morocco held talks and signed a Letter of Intent for cooperation, along with a plan to twin the cities of Casablanca and Ho Chi Minh City to expand cooperation opportunities between Vietnamese and Moroccan universities. Accordingly, Hoa Sen University will have the opportunity to support the development of the field of Oriental Studies such as the project of opening the Arabic studies major, implementing cultural and artistic exchange activities between Vietnam and the Kingdom of Morocco.
The cooperation of both sides contributes to promoting the trend of internationalizing the training environment, to orient students to become global citizens.
It is expected that in the near future, the two organizations will sign a Cooperation Agreement (M.O.U.) to tighten the bilateral relationship and bring many added values to Hoa Sen University’s students, especially the Faculty of Design. Design and Art during 4 years of training at Hoa Sen lecture hall.
