This week you are cordially invited to the HSRS #103 on Thursday, 26 November 2015 at Room 501, 8 Nguyen Van Trang campus of Hoa Sen University.<\/p>\n
In the first session<\/strong><\/em> (9:00-10:30), Dr. Klimis Vogiatzoglou from FEC, Hoa Sen University will have a talk on “Observing the world and the inquisitive economist<\/strong>” <\/span>to share his research experience.<\/p>\n Abstract<\/strong><\/p>\n \tThe presentation draws on personal thoughts about economic research as well as personal experiences. It aims at pointing out several issues that are relevant with respect to research initiation and early stage \u201canalysis\u201d and writing. An overview and examples are provided with respect to “observing”, “following trends”, and “recording patterns”. The presented overall approach intends to help create awareness of various economic phenomena or a given topic, and in extension to lead to insights, thoughts, and a first analysis.<\/p>\n In the second part,<\/strong><\/em> Dr. Pham Thi Bich Ngoc from FEC, Hoa Sen University will introduce the training course on “ProGRANT Proposal Writing for Research Grants”<\/strong><\/span>. As she had a chance to participate in the course, she would like to share some knowledge and useful information for those who are seeking research funding and grants.<\/p>\n ProGRANT Proposal Writing for Research Grants<\/strong><\/p>\n \t\u201cThe course is part of the DIES (Dialogue on Innovative Higher Education Strategies) programme of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the German Rectors\u2019 Conference (HRK) which was conducted by University of Cologne, Germany. The aim of DIES ProGRANT is to train researchers and young PhD holders in developing a promising research proposal for national or international research funding\u201d<\/p>\n For those who will join HSRS for the first time, please be informed that the weekly open seminars welcome all research oriented participants in broad areas of Economics, Management, Education and Development, who can come to learn and share without pre-registration.<\/p>\n
