Hoa Sen Research Seminar (HSRS) # 81

At 9 a.m,  Thursday 04 June 2015
Room 501, Hoa Sen University, 8 Nguyen Van Trang, District.1, HCMC

The primary objective of (HSRS) is to help develop the research capability of, and create research environment for, HSU lecturers in the area of Economics, Management and Development, leading eventually to publications in international peer-reviewed journals. By providing a platform for all interested researchers to present and discuss ongoing research as well as new research opportunities, HSRS also aims at creating opportunities to develop joint research projects – both academic and applied – within HSU and between HSU and other research institutions.

The agenda for each seminar will generally consist of two parts: a training workshop on research methods and a research colloquium. The target audience for the training workshops is beginning researchers seeking to gain knowledge, skills and experiences to conduct academic research, while in the research colloquiums, the audience would be expanded to include active researchers and research institutions interested in sharing research ideas, opportunities, progress, results and experiences, as well as in developing research partnerships with HSU in the areas of Economics, Management and Development.

Agenda:

  • 9 am – 10:15 am: Ms. Nguyen Phuong Lien from the research group FDIG/HSU lead by Dr. Pham Thi Bich Ngoc will present her on-going research titled: “Vietnam’s labor productivity in  ASEAN”.
  • 10:30am – 12:00 am: Dr. Do Hue Huong and Mr. Quang Dai Tuyen will talk about experiences and tips on getting Ph.D. Scholarship to Australia. This session is expected to be very interesting for those who are seeking a chance to study in Australia.
