HSU students experience interesting series of field trips at large enterprises
To help students experience the most authentic career, in November, HSU students had field trips to leading businesses. Among them are the Fast Delivery Service Joint Stock Company, VNG Group; New Port STC; SHINHAN BANK…
Accordingly, a series of field trips for students in many fields have been organized to give them access to real jobs in businesses. In particular, the Faculty of Information Technology HSU cooperated with the Fast Delivery Service Joint Stock Company (GHN) to organize a visit to the 20th Transit Warehouse – The place where the goods classification process of the first 2 storey conveyor belt takes place in Vietnam. At the trip, students were introduced by the conveyor belt supervisors to the system as well as how to manage and synchronize data with GHN’s logistics information system. In particular, GHN’s human resources department has brought many attractive remuneration policies, positions suitable for the orientation of young people such as Product Owner, Data Engineer, Mobile Engineer, Backend Engineer, QA Engineer…
Dang Xuan Thinh – Information Technology student shared that: “Through this experience, I have seen with my own eyes the combination of many technologies into warehouse management and customer data, making job more accurate and faster. I also understand how an eLogistics operator will work to reinforce knowledge and career orientation not only for me but also for students in the industry.”
In addition, students of the Faculty of Information Technology also have a practical experience at VNG, visit the “genuine” office, explore the company’s culture, listen to professional knowledge related to the field of study and technology that you will do in the future. Especially through the connection of Mr. Cao Truong Duy – Senior Data Engineer, Game Data Studio; Mr. Vuu Chi Hao – Taient Acquisition Business Partner – alumnus of HSU.
Also in November, students of the Faculty of Finance and Banking had a visit and practical experience at Shinhan Bank – Tan Binh Branch. Participating in the trip, students were introduced to each important department in the operating system, how to operate departments at Shinhan, learned about culture, job opportunities, and visited departments. Shinhan Bank is the first bank in Korea with a long history of operation and development. The trip not only helps you add vivid practical knowledge to the previously learned theoretical lectures, but also gives you a panorama of an international bank, helping students prepare for career in the future.
In addition, students of the Faculty of Logistics and International Trade also recently had a visit at Tan Cang STC. Training Tan Cang is the most prestigious import-export and logistics human resource training center in Vietnam today. In addition, Tan Cang-STC also provides jobs for domestic and foreign individuals as well as companies currently operating in the fields of maritime, transportation, and logistics. The trip helped students better visualize how a logistics business operates, how it works as well as witness with “bare eye” the process of handling goods at the warehouse.
With interesting field trips, students gain a better understanding of the field they are studying, not being constrained like theoretical learning in class, and at the same time orienting themselves to the position and job they want to pursue in the future.
