Hoa Sen University offers exclusive training in the programs of De Montfort University
With the orientation to become a university according to international standards, Hoa Sen University (HSU) constantly cooperates with partners to bring training programs of universities around the world to Vietnam. On November 21, HSU officially signed a cooperation agreement with De Montfort University (DMU), bringing DMU’s curriculum to Vietnam.
The program was attended by Prof. Knight Steve Smith – UK Ambassador for International Education, Ms. Emily Hamblin – British Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City, leaders of the Ministry of Education and Training, leaders of the People’s Committee, representatives of De Montfort University and representatives of Hoa Sen University.
HSU exclusively teaches the program of DMU
Accordingly, after working closely together, DMU and HSU have agreed to become a strategic partner to jointly implement a long-term cooperation program in the field of education. With the cooperation agreement valid for 10 years, DMU and HSU determined to focus on 3 main areas of cooperation, including:
One is the joint training of bachelor’s and master’s degrees in the form of “on-site study abroad”. Specifically, DMU authorizes HSU to have the exclusive right to deploy DMU’s training programs right at HSU, by a team of qualified instructors who are inspected and recognized by DMU. After completing the study program, students will be awarded a degree of global value by DMU.
The second is academic exchange: HSU students have the opportunity to go to the UK to study transfer at DMU, study short-term at DMU under the exchange program, participate in internship programs, study tours to experience the international learning environment in the UK.
Third, the two sides will conduct research cooperation: DMU will cooperate and transfer research works to HSU, thereby creating a high-quality academic environment, focusing on research and application of new inventions in real life.
The joint training program of HSU and DMU will start from the academic year 2023-2024 with 04 training programs at both undergraduate and graduate levels, including: Bachelor of Accounting (Accounting BSc), Bachelor of Marketing (Marketing BA), Bachelor of International Business (International Business BA), Master of English Language Teaching (The English Language Teaching MA). Other majors and curricula will also be continued for the next academic years.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Thi Ngoc Thuy – President of HSU shared: “In early 2021, Hoa Sen University started the first exchanges with De Montfort University. With the similarity and shared vision, mission as well as social responsibility of the two sides, HSU and DMU have decided to become a long-term strategic partner in the field of higher education. We have a strong belief that the cooperative relationship between the two schools will definitely achieve the set goals, contributing to the implementation of the education cooperation strategy of the two governments. This cooperation program will also contribute to training and providing the society with human resources that are fully equipped with knowledge and skills to be ready to participate in the competitive labor market in the period when Vietnam is integrating rapidly, deeply and widely with the world as at present.”
Study in Vietnam, get a British degree
