Graduation ceremony at the French Consulate General of Vatel students – HSU
On the morning of April 27, the graduation ceremony of 43 new Bachelors of the of Hoa Sen University (HSU) took place at the French Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City.

Not only taking place in a French space, the graduation ceremony of Vatel students was also attended by many distinguished guests, domestic and international business partners such as: Ms. Flora Canetti – In charge of cooperation with the French Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City; Ms. Andre Barbi – Representative of the Spanish Trade Association in Vietnam, Marketing Director for Asia Pacific of Melia International Group; Dr. Phan Thi Thuy Tien – President of Vatel Vietnam; Ms. Nguyen Thi Quynh Giang – Operation Director of Vatel Vietnam.
The Vatel International Hotel and Restaurant Management Program in Ho Chi Minh City is a cooperation between Hoa Sen University and Vatel School – TOP 1 of the best hotels and restaurants in France. For more than 10 years of implementation, Vatel has provided an innovative and creative educational program that meets the requirements of domestic and international working environments. The cooperation between Vatel School and Hoa Sen University has both marked an important milestone in the relationship between France and Vietnam, as well as a guarantee for the success of thousands of Vatel alumni.
At the ceremony, 42 new graduates of HSU Vatel together looked back on their learning journey with interesting experiences, and sent their gratitude to their parents and teachers. In particular, Dr. Phan Thi Thuy Tien – President of Vatel Vietnam sent a message in French to the new graduates: “Many years have passed at Vatel Vietnam, but we are always extremely excited and surprised to see the children, like butterflies flying out of their cocoon, change their skin. From young girls and boys entering university, day by day, they have become executive managers of different departments in the hotel industry, at a young age but already professional, confident and dynamic. In this journey, we hope to have brought you as much knowledge as you have brought us joy and pride. This graduation ceremony does not mark the end of our relationship but rather a step towards the promised land, and Vatel will always be by your side…”
100% of students have jobs before graduation
The Vatel Program’s 2023 graduation ceremony recognizes 100% of students having jobs. In which, many of you have started your own company or held the position of leader and manager at large enterprises.
In which, Chiem Huynh Chan Danh impressed with his achievements: Participated in the Marco Polo Exchange Program in Bordeaux (France) in his second year of university; certified wine specialist – WSET Level 3; was one of the first 20 Vietnamese candidates to have ASI Certificate 1 (of the International Sommelier Association). Currently, Chan Danh is a wine expert at Warehouse, conducting wine training for employees, organizing wine tasting events and serving as a wine consultant.
In addition, the ceremony also honored the valedictorian Keomani Le Bao Ngoc and 2 runner-ups: Ngo Le Hoang My and Nguyen Thi Nam Anh.
On behalf of the new graduates, Ngo Le Hoang My shared: “We had great experiences at Vatel and HSU. We have practice sessions at Vatel restaurant, wear kitchen uniforms and cook our first class dinner. We remember serving guests at Vatel restaurant, at the Balade en France culinary festival and especially at the professor’s wedding party at the Independence Palace…These are the everyday moments that have gradually shaped us into the people we are today. Always remember that time as a valuable and rewarding experience. Wishing you all the best in your future endeavors.”
The Vatel Program is a joint training program for the Bachelor of International Hotel – Restaurant Management degree between Hoa Sen University and Vatel School of Hotel Business and Tourism of Vatel Group (France). With a 3-year training period, graduates of the program will be awarded a French Bachelor of International Hotel – Restaurant Management degree, and have the opportunity to transfer to one of 54 Vatel schools in the world.
