Writing learning objectives using bloom’s taxonomy

One way to approach course design is to start from the learning objectives, which are concise statements about what students will be able to do when they have completed the course.Learning objectives are very important in that they provide students with a clear purpose to focus their learning efforts, direct the lecturer’s choice of instructional activities, and guide the lecturer’s assessment strategies. The most important and challenging aspect of writing good learning objectives is that they must be observable and measurable. Therefore, in order to write good learning objetives, it is important that the lecturer plot each objective on the taxonomy table, matching each learning objective with the appropriate cognitive process and type of knowledge.
