Self-assessment training workshop at program level according to AUN-QA standards

On June 18, 2020, the Office of Testing – Quality Assurance held a self-assessment training session at program level according to AUN-QA standards (room 903, Nguyen Van Trang main campus).

At the workshop, HSU invited speaker Dr. Ngo Van Thuyen – External Assessor of AUN-QA, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the University of Technology and Education Ho Chi Minh City.; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu – Vice President of HSU; Dr. Phan Thi Vietnam – Head of Office of Testing – Quality Assurance; members of self-assessment report team of the Information Technology program, Restaurant Management program, Interior Design program and other interested lecturers and staff.

In the opening speech at the training session, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu emphasized the meaning and importance of external assessment according to AUN-QA standards. He hopes that the University will make important improvements after the self-assessment to contribute to enhancing the quality of activities such as teaching, training, human resource, etc.

With the guidance of experts through lectures and group exercises, the training session helped the participating officials, lecturers, and staff to master the content of standards, criteria, and self- assessment organized activities as well as the process of self-assessment of training programs according to AUN-QA standards.

This training activity is an important preparatory step for the faculties to focus on analyzing the standard set, collecting evidence, completing the Self-Assessment report and making the official assessment in 2021.
